Pastor Chris Owens

Pastor Chris Owens, a Colorado native, recently moved out to California with his wife, Melissa, to begin serving the Lord as the Assistant Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

His excitement and desire to see today’s youth and children develop a heart for the Lord is displayed weekly through his active involvement with TBC’s teens and children. Pastor Chris currently directs the teen ministry, Tabernacle Teens and children’s ministry, King's Kids, and is always looking for new ways to continue teaching them to be excited about serving the Lord!

Pastor Chris surrendered to the Lord’s call to preach after his third year as a Business student. As the Lord continued to turn his heart, he restarted his studies in 2001 at Pensacola Christian College to prepare for his new calling. In 2005, he graduated with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and a minor in Biblical Languages. He then continued his education at Pensacola Theological Seminary and graduated in 2006 with a Masters degree in Bible Exposition.

Pastor Chris enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, camping and watching the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Braves.
